Why Moradok Law

The reasons our clients come back, and the reasons they recommend us.

We work in a narrow area of law and we work carefully. Here is what that means for the people who come to us.

What makes Moradok Law different

Specialist focus only

We work exclusively with estate and inheritance matters. Not commercial contracts, not employment disputes — only this. That concentration means our knowledge of the field stays current and specific.

Plain-language explanations

Legal language has a habit of creating more confusion than it resolves. We explain every step in straightforward terms, in English or Thai, whichever works better for you.

No rushed decisions

Estate matters often land at an already difficult time. We do not create pressure to move faster than the circumstances call for. You proceed at a pace that makes sense for your situation.

Agreed fees, no additions

Our fees are discussed and confirmed before work begins. If the scope changes — which sometimes happens — we raise that with you first, never afterward.

Cross-border experience

We regularly work with clients based overseas who are managing Thai estates from a distance. We are experienced in handling matters by email and phone when a client cannot travel to Bangkok.

You speak with a solicitor

When you contact us, you are connected to a qualified solicitor — not passed to a junior assistant or call handler. The people advising you are the people who know your case.

In Depth

A closer look at what we bring

Legal expertise built around inheritance law

Our solicitors hold current Thai Bar Association registration and have built their practice around the Civil and Commercial Code provisions that govern inheritance, wills, and estate administration. This is not a side service for us — it is the entirety of what we do, which means we encounter the specific situations and complications of this area of law on a weekly basis.

  • Registered with the Lawyers Council of Thailand
  • Estate and inheritance law as primary practice area
  • Regular engagement with Thai court procedures for probate

Remote-friendly working methods

A substantial portion of our clients manage their matters from outside Thailand. We have developed straightforward processes for conducting consultations by video call, exchanging documents securely, and handling the formalities of power of attorney when a client cannot travel to Bangkok. We do not require your physical presence for most steps in an estate matter.

  • Video and telephone consultations available
  • Secure document exchange by email
  • Power of attorney guidance for overseas clients

Service that treats the whole situation

People dealing with an estate are usually dealing with more than paperwork. We are mindful of that. Our advice is delivered patiently, we avoid unnecessary formality in our communications, and we do not use urgency as a way to push clients toward decisions they are not ready for. Client wellbeing and client interests are the same thing, in our view.

  • Considerate communication throughout
  • Progress explained at each stage
  • English and Thai spoken equally well

Transparent, structured pricing

Our three service tiers cover the most common situations we encounter — initial consultation at ฿7,200, probate and administration support at ฿11,000, and full representation at ฿13,800. Every engagement begins with a written confirmation of what is included and what it costs. We do not charge for initial conversations about whether our services are a fit for your situation.

  • Three clearly defined service levels
  • Written fee confirmation before work begins
  • No charge for initial enquiry calls

How We Compare

Moradok Law vs. a general practice

Not all legal help for inheritance matters is the same. Here is how a specialist practice differs from a general firm that handles estate work alongside many other areas.

Area General Practice Moradok Law
Focus area Many areas of law handled side-by-side Estate and inheritance exclusively
Who advises you Often a junior or paralegal for routine steps A qualified solicitor throughout
Fee clarity Hourly billing, final cost uncertain Fixed service tiers, agreed in writing
Language Thai primarily, English variable Full service in English and Thai
Remote service Typically requires in-person appointments Full remote capability for overseas clients
Pace and approach Process-driven, often impersonal Adapted to the client's circumstances

What Sets Us Apart

Features you will not find everywhere

Mixed-nationality estate experience

Estates involving both Thai and foreign assets — or Thai and foreign beneficiaries — require a specific understanding of how Thai law interacts with foreign ownership rules. We handle these situations regularly and know where the common complications arise.

Written engagement letters for every case

Before any work begins, we issue a written letter confirming the scope, the fee, and what is included. Nothing is left ambiguous. Clients know from the first day exactly what they have engaged us for and what it will cost.

Bilingual documentation as standard

For clients who need it, we prepare estate documents in both English and Thai. This is particularly valuable for mixed-language families or for estates that will be administered across two countries.

Direct solicitor contact throughout

We do not route client calls to a general inbox or a receptionist. When you need to speak with someone about your matter, you reach the solicitor handling it. This is a deliberate choice, not a feature we offer selectively.
